I am currently reading ‘You are a Writer (So Start Acting Like One)‘ by Jeff Goins. I came across this ebook on a minimalist living website, which for the life of me I can’t remember what it was but I’ll post the website address when I find it, as it’s a good site in itself. Might even have been one of those aggregated sites on the Flipboard app on my iPad. Anyway, back to the post.
I noticed it because the blurb said it dealt with the basics of calling yourself a writer to believe you are a writer and so become a writer. It also meant I had to dig out my Kindle, which I hadn’t used for a few months but still had a charge on it.
I’m only about 10% into the book so far, but already there are ideas resonating with me, enough to want to blog about it which is result enough that it’s having an effect. I am starting to take the view that I read too much about writing and need to crack on with actual writing and I think this book will have that effect.
Have a look for your self and let me know what you think.
